This policy covers printoverlay.com ("the website") and the Print Overlay iPad application ("the app"), a professional anesthesia charting tool used by anesthesia providers at healthcare facilities.

This website

printoverlay.com is an informational site. Standard web-hosting access logs may record IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser or device information, and referring page. Google Fonts receives routine technical data, such as IP address, needed to deliver font files.

With your optional analytics consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site use. GA4 may collect device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referrer, interactions, and campaign parameters. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, message contents, or other form data to GA4. Google signals, ads personalization, and user-provided data collection are turned off. We do not use GA4 for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Termly provides our consent banner and preference controls. It may use essential storage to remember your choices. GA4 is blocked until you choose optional analytics. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Privacy choices link. We do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Forms on this website

If you submit a form, we receive the contact information and other content you provide. Demo, contact, and TxANA follow-up requests are sent through our website server to Resend. Resend sends a transactional acknowledgment to you and a notification to Print Overlay with the submitted contact details and applicable message content.

These request forms do not enroll you in a general-marketing list. Do not include patient information or other sensitive medical information in a website form. We use form information to respond, administer the relationship, send requested communications, protect the forms, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not send form personal information to GA4.

The Print Overlay app

In the current Solo configuration, the app has no developer-hosted account service, third-party analytics, advertising, or automatic crash-reporting service. Solo core charting does not send case data to Print Overlay. We do not receive app usage data or chart content automatically.

The information providers enter while charting a case, such as case times, vital signs, medications, fluids, and provider names, is stored locally on the iPad in encrypted storage. The app does not require a patient name, MRN, or date of birth. Facilities should handle all case information under their own HIPAA and record policies. Case information:

is retained locally on the iPad for the same day;
can be printed through AirPrint;
can be removed at any time by deleting the case records or the app itself.

If a user selects Report a Problem, the app prepares an email to Print Overlay with app and device details, diagnostic logs, the user's description, and any screenshot the user attaches. The user reviews and sends the email; the app does not send a report automatically. If Mail is unavailable, iPadOS sharing controls can be used to share the log file. Users should follow facility policy and avoid including patient information in descriptions or screenshots sent for support.

Solo core charting works without a network connection and does not synchronize or back up case data to an internet cloud service. With optional vital-sign capture, the connection from the monitor to the capture device depends on the verified setup and may use a cable or the facility's local network. The capture device may keep local operational files containing monitor readings and sends readings to the iPad over encrypted Bluetooth. AirPrint uses the facility's local network. Subscription purchase or verification and software updates may use Apple services. Capture-device operational files are separate from same-day app case retention and should be covered by facility policy.

Retention and security

We retain website form records for as long as reasonably needed to respond, administer the relationship and communication preferences, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Hosting, consent, analytics, and Resend records follow the applicable provider settings and retention schedules. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal and operational requirements.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards suited to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

U.S. privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to appeal a denied request. You can change analytics consent using Privacy choices. We may need to verify a request before responding. Submit requests using the contact address below.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or process it for targeted advertising. We recognize Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal where applicable; because we do not conduct those activities, there is currently no sale, sharing, or targeted advertising to opt out of.

Children's privacy

The website and the app are professional resources for licensed healthcare providers and are not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
